Case Information

Information on cases filed with this court can be accessed in several ways, as explained below. In addition, hard copies of documents may be obtained by visiting one of the Court's five office locations. Please view the Fees page for possible search and copy fees, and the Court Information page for details on the court location nearest you.

PACER provides the public with electronic access to selected court case information on the Internet. Registered parties can access cases, documents, and docket sheets electronically. To register for a PACER account, use our convenient registration process at https://pacer.uscourts.gov. To report problems, please contact the PACER Support Center at (800) 676-6856.

The Multi-court Voice Case Information System provides general access to Northern District of Ohio bankruptcy case information and records. Public case information may be obtained without charge using a touch-tone telephone.

McVCIS provides public access to bankruptcy case information over the telephone by calling (866) 222-8029.

  1. Say "Ohio" to identify the desired state.
  2. Then say "Ohio Northern" to identify the desired district.
  3. Then do one of the following:
    • To search by case number, say "case number."
    • To search by name, say "name."
    • To search by Social Security Number, say "Social Security Number."
  4. Continue by either pressing the telephone number keys or saying the digits one at a time. Up to 5 queries may be made per call.

For physical access to closed cases that have been archived and stored at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) there is a form available to request the boxed records for inspection. Now available for all Northern District of Ohio bankruptcy courts, there is an Archived Cases Search.

Each court in the Northern District of Ohio is equipped with public terminals with electronic access to selected court case information. These terminals are freely available during the Court's business hours. For details on the court location nearest you, please view the Court Information page.

The Unclaimed Funds Search allows the public to search this court's database of bankruptcy-related funds that have been (1) marked for distribution, where the case trustee has been unable to locate the creditor or other party entitled to the funds; or (2) distributed by the trustee, but not negotiated by the creditor or other party entitled to the funds.
